With slightly recurved single-edged blade (some rust patination) with slender medial line along the back for most of its length flanked by a narrow fuller, and struck with circular bladesmith's mark of 'Faizi' in nasta'liq on one side, shaped nielloed silver mount over each side of the forte with pseudo inscription along the back and gilt foliate panel on both sides, and silver hilt with 'eared' pommel, decorated with nielloed decoration overall including foliate scrollwork along each side against a gilt cross-hatched ground, in original carved and fluted wooden scabbard covered in black leather (minor damage) with brass wire seam along the inside, and silver locket and chape embossed and chased with scrolls and foliage, the latter with monster-head terminal (repaired)
