With broad blade inlaid in brass with two marks on one side at the double-edged point and cut with two narrow fullers along the back on each side, characteristic hilt comprising pommel-cap embossed and chased in low relief on one side with a flaming jewel between a pair of dragons against a finely punched ground, the back with a trellised design of flower-heads above a border of foliage, and waisted vertically ribbed grip bound with twisted silver wire, in original wood-lined silver scabbard finely embossed and chased in relief along the outer side with flowering foliage involving the eight Buddhist symbols, all between dragons and against a finely punched ground, the inner side boldly engraved with meandering flowering foliage, plain suspension loop, and in fine condition
