It is tremendously hot and one wears bathing things all day", the card addressed to their hotel in Lugarno and redirected to Manchester, 1 page, stamped and postmarked, 8vo, Corfu, postmarked 23 July 1953

The card reproduces not a beach scene but rather a Fouquet miniature in the Bibliotheque Nationale of David learning of Saul's death, taken from Josephus' Antiquities of the Jews.
