A pair of Natalie Wood awards from The Harvard Lampoon and The Harvard Crimson
Certificate from The Harvard Lampoon commemorating Natalie Wood as the Worst Actress of 1966, 1967, and 1968, dated April 23, 1966, framed. Accompanied by a matted photograph of Wood receiving the certificate. Together with a small trophy (lacking the top), with an engraved plaque reading, "Crimson / Welcomes / A / Good / Sport / N. Wood / 4-23-'66." The Harvard humor magazine, the Lampoon, gave Wood their award for being the "Worst Actress of Last Year, This Year, and Next," and to their surprise, Wood showed up in person to accept it. Apparently the first recipient to attend the ceremony, Wood said of the occasion, "they invited me and I thought it was only polite to accept." (Lambert, Natalie Wood: A Life, NY: 2005, p. 234). The university's newspaper, the Crimson, then presented her with this trophy for her good-natured acceptance of the Lampoon's dubious honor.
