Second quarter 19th century, signed on the dial by John Sawin, Boston
Scroll carved eglomisé paneled case, enhanced with brass filets and rosettes to the box and throat, apparently original mirror panel on box, replaced throat glass, brass bezel enclosing white painted dial, signed "Sawin", with roman chapters, blued hands, rectangular weight driven movement secured to back board by diagonally placed screws through both plates, anchor escapement, iron rod pendulum with brass bob
