A fine George III mahogany longcase clock
Signed Barraud, Cornhill, London, late 18th century
The arched hood with brass ball finial and partly brass inlaid chamfered front angles over a similarly chamfered and inlaid trunk with arches long door with molded edge, above a paneled plinth with double apron on block feet, the one piece 12 - inch silvered dial with strike / silent subsidiary over a roman chapter ring enclosing seconds and date rings, pierced blued steel hands, the movement with rectangular plates joined by five knopped pillars, anchor escapement, iron rod pendulum with lenticular brass faced bob, rack striking the hours on bell, two brass clad weights
