Signed by Tiffany & Co., movement by J. J. Elliott, London, circa 1900
The arched hood with inlaid frieze supported by fluted columns, trunk with glazed side panels and long door between fluted columns with gilt capitals, plinth with inlaid panel, dial with moon phase in the arch, silvered chapter ring within pierced gilt scroll mask, applied gilt arabic numerals, pierced blued hands, subsidiary dials for chime / silent and selection Whittington / Westminster, strike silent lever at 9 o'clock, the three train movement with substantial plates joined by four tapered pillars, dead beat escapement with maintaining power, steel rod pendulum with roller suspension, rack striking the hour on gong, chiming the quarters on a further four gongs or nest of eight bells, three brass clad weights
