Movement signed Nocturne, no. 2098, case with French lozenge maker's mark MB, first quarter 20th century
The case with panels of guilloche violet enamel within white border, front and sides with applied laurel swags, leaf capped folding handle, all on stepped base chased with laurel and raised on bracket feet, gilt movement with platform lever escapement, key wind and set, repeating on two gongs planted on the back plate by depressing button above case, circular white enamel dial with gilt minute ring enclosing arabic chapters, gilt spade hands.
height 3 1/2in (9.5cm) including handle
