A German 14K vari-gold and enameled snuff box
by Charles Colins Söhne, Hanau, circa 1825
Rectangular, with convex sides, the cover decorated with a flowering vase within a shaped cartouche, all with blue ground shoulders, acid-etched and flat-chased allover with foliate scrolls on a stippled ground, the interior of rose gold and the cover engraved with script presentation inscription "To Muriel from Willy / March 7, 1944", weight approximately 98gms
height 3/4in (2.2cm); length 3 1/2in (8.8cm); width 2 3/8in (6cm).
