In 1806 Thomas Foley (1780 -1833) married Lady Cecilia, daughter of the Duke of Leinster in 1806. The first of their sons became Captain of the Gentlemen at Arms, the second a Grenadier Guards colonel, their third a General and the fourth an Admiral.
