DUPONT: Pharoah Limited Edition 5-Piece Pen and Lighter Set
This gold-plated set features images of Horus, Isis and Nephtys in red, blue and black Chinese lacquer with malachite accents. The rare vegetal dyes required for this set's creation are so exclusive that only 10 to 15 grams a year can be harvested. One of Dupont's finest creations.
This set was assembled from the last remaining pieces at Dupont's Paris headquarters at the request of the consignor, a major Dupont client. The display box for the full set was no longer available, so Dupont ordered a special box to be handmade in Switzerland. As all of the other display boxes were machined in China, this unique set, with specially-made box, has greater exclusivity than the standard limitation.
Includes fountain pen, ballpoint pen, Jeroboam table lighter, Ligne 2 lighter and Gatsby lighter. Medium 18K gold nib. Displayed in lacquered wood presentation box. Limited Edition: each piece individually numbered within its limitation (numbers do not match; only 50 sets were produced with fully matching numbers). Included with the lot is a brief statement from the consignor noting the set's pedigree.
