[PLATINUM]: Geisha and Mount Fuji Maki-e Fountain Pen, 1930s
Large balance-form pen, maker unknown but possibly Platinum, decorated with a Geisha holding a fan on the barrel and a temple against a background of Mount Fuji on the cap. Decorated in gold, silver, red and grey-green pigments on black lacquer ground. 14K rolled-gold band, clip. 153mm. Lacquer wear, cracked cap band. Warranted nib, made in Tokyo, size not marked, appears medium oblique. Signed by the artist (kanji unknown).
