PARKER: No. 47 Lucky Curve "Pregnant Parker" Fountain Pen, Mother-of-Pearl and Abalone Panels, c.1906
A classic pen whose graceful curvature has earned the affectionate nickname "Pregnant Parker," this instrument is often considered the most beautiful fountain pen ever made.
Alternating abalone and mother-of-pearl panels (preferred by collectors over the more commonly-seen version with mother-of-pearl panels only), black hard rubber endpiece and section, highly repoussé floral engraved gold-filled cap and trim. Eyedropper-filler, #3 Lucky Curve keyhole-vent nib. Crisp imprints, finely engraved indicia ("E.F. Fitzgerald"), black hard rubber lustrous and bright, abalone and mother-of-pearl panels are pristine.
