An unmarked percussion pocket pistol
probably French, second quarter 19th century

The 3 1/4 inch octagonal Damascus barrel in .47 caliber smoothbore. Unmarked, good quality back action lock. Steel furniture including triggerguard, buttcap and flat fore-end cap. Walnut half-stock with striped finish and flared grip in the French style. Replaced steel ramrod.
Condition: Very good. Barrel retains much browned finish. Lock and furniture showing light staining/minor pitting. Sound wood with scattered minor marks.
