A miniature U.S. military saber

Curved 16 7/8 inch steel blade etched with patriotic motifs , panoplies, an eagle, and a banner etched E. Pluribus Unum on right side; marked near guard Ames M Co/Chicopee/Mass. Left side with shields, scrolls, panoplies, and etched large US in center. Brass pierced guard with scrolls and US; black leather grip with brass wire. Nickel plated scabbard with brass drag and mounts.
Condition: Excellent. Scattered light scratches; glue visible on leather grip.
