Footnotes
Note: An order issued by the high command in March of 1834 stated the only SS District Corps commanders had the authority to make presentation of standard service daggers with special inscriptions. This was amended in May to the effect that individual SS leaders (Fuhrers), could present officer comrades with such daggers.
