A Victorian officer's baskethilted broadsword by Moore, Taggert & Company, Glasgow

The 32 1/2 inch double fullered blade retaining traces of etched decoration, ricasso marked Moore/Taggert/& Co./Glasgow. Nickeled hilt of 1828 pattern retaining the red wool-covered leather liner. Grey shagreen and wire-wrapped grip. Nickeled two-ring scabbard.
Condition: Blade showing areas of staining/light pitting overall. Grip fine. Scabbard with areas of pinpoint bubbling overall.
