A French late 19th century japonisme walnut, polychrome and gilt-tooled leather cabinet on stand

in two parts, decorated with spreading oriental fans, birds, insects and figures above a pair of cupboard doors with strapwork gilt metal escutcheons, enclosing a shelf, with bronze swing handles to the sides, the stand carved with dragons masks and pierced leaf and turned spindle end supports, with pierced scrolling leaf and paterae carved stretchers, on a platform base and downswept feet, 69cm wide, 45cm deep, 126cm high (27in wide, 17 1/2in deep, 49 1/2in high).
