A large Flemish 19th century ormolu-mounted ebonised and painted cabinet on stand, incorporating 17th century painted panels after a follower of Abel Grimmer (Antwerp c. 1570-1618/19)

the cresting with a pair of putti supporting an armorial cartouche cast with two 'Doves of Pliny', the cabinet with an arrangement of sixteen drawers with oil-painted panels after Abel Grimmer, including rural, fishing and hunting scenes, the central architectural door with niche framing a figure of Venus and enclosing four drawers, the cresting to the door with a small muse figure, on a rectangular stand with three drawers, on turned legs with stretchers, 162cm wide, 58cm deep, 208cm high (63 1/2in wide, 22 1/2in deep, 81 1/2in high).
