A pair of French late 19th century gilt and patinated bronze rococo figural chenets by Bouhon, Paris

each with an allegorical cherub depicting "Painting" and "Sculpture", seated on a scrolling acanthus leaf, on a shaped base inscribed BOUHON, 39cm wide, 28cm deep, 54cm high (15in wide, 11in deep, 21in high). (2)

Footnotes

Bouhon et Cie specialised in bronze-decorated fire-places and fire-fittings.
They participated in the Paris Expositions Universelles of 1878 and 1900.
