A late 19/early 20th century French silver comprehensive tea & coffee service

maker's mark ML flanking a cross, retailed by A Aucoc, Paris, circa 1900, 800 standard
Comprising: two handle kettle with burner, of vase form with ribbon and band border, the detachable cover with fruiting bud finial, scroll handles with acanthus leaf junctions and turned wood bands, the fluted spout with wood handle, raised on three ribbon and band scroll feet with acanthus leaf junctions, detachable burner with wood handle, a teapot, coffee pot, lidded sugar bowl, slop bowl, milk jug, all similarly decorated, a two handle tray, maker's mark JR flanking a squirrel, rectangular form with ribbon and band border, the centre engraved with a monogram, six teaspoons and six coffee spoons, by Aucoc, with ribbon and band border, monogrammed, cased, height of kettle 40cm, length of tray 63cm, weight total 291oz.
