A late 19th century French export pitcher and basin

the bowl with the Mercury head export mark, possibly post 1878, the jug apparently unmarked
The broad cylindrical neck with pouring lip and acanthus embellished handle with bifurcated junction, monogrammed, the base of compressed circular form with a broad band of continuous stylised lily pads and scrolls, on a collet foot, the large circular bowl with the same decorative band, on an incurved collet foot, similarly engraved monogram, height of jug 32cm, diameter of bowl 55cm, weight 210oz.
