A 19th century Austrian gilt-metal and enamelled knife, fork and spoon

Vienna
The enamelled stems applied with pierced gilt-metal bands and painted with birds among scrolling foliage, each with central painted oval cartouche depicting a pair of classical figures, the spoon's stem with additional animals and classical masks and surmounted by a term handle with term rest, the reverse bowl with vari-coloured enamel decoration, the tine and blade similarly embellished, the former issuing from an enamelled mythical creature, the latter from a white enamelled head, length of spoon 24.5cm, of knife 24.3cm, of fork 21.5cm.
