A late 19th century Austrian silver-gilt and enamelled two-handled cup,
by Leopold Weininger, Vienna 1883-86
Baluster form, the enamelled body painted with village drinking and dancing scenes after Teniers, separated by floral and mask head grotesque decoration on a white ground, with an applied silver-gilt term handles and rim, raised on a geometrically decorated foot, height 17cm, together with a silver and enamelled saucer, by Karl Boehm, decorated with courting couples, diameter 12.5cm, and a small enamelled shell-form bowl decorated with Mars guarding an infant, height 10cm. (3)
