An early 18th century silver and silver-gilt brandy bowl

by Johannes Kilian, Augsburg circa 1670, and with later French import mark
Scalloped oval form with ribbed scroll handles, the gilded bowl embossed in high relief with a scene depicting a mother and her children reading around a table whilst their father writes at his desk, with beaded borders and prick-dot engraved fish-scale petals, length handle to handle 18cm, weight 4.5oz.
