A massive pale ruby gilded and enamelled vase, late 19th century
Probably Moser, Karlsbad, the ovoid form divided into five sections, set on a broad knop and a stepped foot section above a tall shouldered cylindrical section, with a tall waisted neck, the neck, body and foot sections painted with formal foliate decoration in opaque white enamel between gilt rims and borders, set on a carved octagonal wooden stand in two sections, painted to imitate marble and topped by a red velvet cushion, the glass vase 118cm high, and standing 188cm high overall with its plinth (7)
