A Bohemian ruby-tinted goblet attributed to August Böhm, Meistersdorf, circa 1840
The heavy ovoid bowl deeply cut with a rectangular panel engraved with a Turk holding a rearing horse, palm trees and a pyramid-shaped monument behind, the reverse with three panels of lenses, set on a spreading hexagonal stem and fan-cut scalloped foot with a fancy star-cut base, 18.5cm high (minor chips to foot)

Signed goblets by August Böhm, engraved in a very similar manner, were included in the collection of Masterpieces of Bohemian Glass, sold in these rooms, 11 December 2013, lots 24, 49, 50 and 54.
