A green tinted Berkemeyer, Dutch or German, late 16th or 17th century

The flared bowl merging into a cylindrical section applied with four large smooth watery prunts beneath a trailed thread, the foot applied with a spun footring, kick-in base, 9.1cm high

Berkemeyers of similar size are illustrated by Pieter van Eck and Henrica Zijlstra-Zweens, Glass in the Rijksmuseum Vol I (1993), pp. 127-128, cats. 176-178. Very similar Berkemeyers have been sold by Christie's Amsterdam, 30 October 2001, lot 6, and by Sotheby's London, 14 November 1995, lot 6.
