A diamond-point engraved façon de Venise winged wine glass, 17th century

Probably Lowlands, the conical bowl decorated with three birds perched on scrolling fruiting vines, with a foliate border, supported by a merese over a stem composed of a pair of ropetwist rods enclosing opaque red, opaque white and translucent green threads and applied with opposing pincered wings stained blue, between short sections of plain stem, on a conical foot, 17.3cm high
