A Meissen purple-ground teabowl and saucer, circa 1739-40

The teabowl reserved with two gilt-edged quatrelobe cartouches with scenes of figures in landscapes, a circular landscape scene to the inside, the saucer with a similar scene within a gilt scrollwork cartouche, gilt scrollwork borders to the rims, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, gilt numeral 35. and incised numeral 2 to both, Dreher's mark for Johann Christoph Schumann (minor rubbing to gilt rims) (2)
