A Kurt Cobain Nirvana set list
Inscribed in pencil on the verso of an order form for records by 1980s rock artist Reesa (of Reesa & the Rooters and the Suburban Wives Club), listing twelve song titles (an additional two songs were also played at the concert), the set list for Nirvana's concert at JC Dobbs in Philadelphia on July 12, 1989. This was the band's first show in Philadelphia and their first national tour, with the original lineup of Cobain, Krist Novoselic, Chad Channing on drums, and Jason Everman on guitar. This concert was less than a month after the release of their debut studio album, Bleach on Sub Pop Records. Memorabilia from this early stage of Nirvana's career is exceedingly rare at auction.
Provenance: Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the consignor, describing the concert and his removal of the set list from the stage after its conclusion. The consignor also describes where he can be seen in the videos of the concert available on YouTube. Also included are two photographs of Cobain taken by the consignor's brother at the same concert.
