Persia, 19th Century

each standing upright on a rectangular base, the top of the hinged body and tail decorated in openwork with vegetal interlace and inlaid with turquoise beads, the remainder profusely engraved with cartouches containing divs and human figures, the base with a series of cartouches containing mounted warriors, the border with inscription filled cartouches
