the single-edged watered steel blade slightly curved and tapering with flattened spine terminating in a palmette medallion, the steel centre of the hilt decorated in gold koftgari with an undulating floral vine with palmettes, the velvet-clad wood hilt with openwork silver-gilt finial in the form of a parrot, the neck engraved and decorated in openwork with floral interlace with perching birds
