An impressive pair of Bohemian amber-stained goblets and covers, circa 1840-60

With eight-sided spreading feet and pagoda-shaped covers edged with deeply-cut scallops, the beaker-shaped bowls set with large circular panels both wheel-engraved with a stag standing proudly, other deer among woodland in the distance, the reverse of the bowls with a panel of seven viewing lenses flanked by further smaller panels of hunting dogs and a hare, the covers and bases also engraved with borders of continuous woodland with further deer and dogs, 64.5cm high (4)
