Kittywake M94 a Marblehead Pond Yacht

built in the 1930's to a design by AW Littlejohn. Hull of bread and butter construction timber, painted wite to the waterline and blue below, with a lead ballasted fin keel and a separate skeg hung rudder and Braine steering gear. Varnished timber deck with inscribed plank lines and hatch accesss the interior. Wooden spars and two suits of cotton sails. 50ins.(127cm)long.

Mr AW Littlejohn published the design for the original Kittywake in the magazine "Marine Models" in 1937, and his original model won the first Marblehead National Championships in 1939.
