PAPERS OF THE FIRST JOINT COMPUTER CONFERENCE AND THE FIRST I.R.E. COMPUTER ISSUE, fertile sources of research that would continue for about a decade. The "COMPUTER ISSUE," published to coincide with the premier of Remington Rand's UNIVAC I and IBM's 701, the first commercially available digital computers.
