Circa 1865

With octagonal sighted barrel, top-strap stamped 'Savage R.F.A. Co. Middletown Ct., H.S. North Patented June 17 1856, January 18 1859, May 15 1860', plain cylinder, frame and butt, ring cocking-lever within the trigger-guard, and shaped figured grips (minor chips), the left stamped with indistinct inspector's mark (rust patinated and some pitting overall)
