With slightly curved blade double-edged towards the point and retaining some original silver-damascened foliage on both sides of the forte, gilt-copper hilt engraved with flowering foliage against a stippled ground and comprising langets and rounded quillons, and swelling grip rising to a makara-head pommel with a fish in its mouth, the latter forming the knuckle-guard, in original wooden scabbard covered in burgundy velvet (plush mostly worn off) with gilt-copper locket and chape each pierced with foliage en suite with the hilt
