A Persian Khanjar, And An Indian Tulwar
The First Qajar, 19th Century, The Second 18th/19th Century

The first with curved double-edged blade with slender central fuller on both sides, the forte on each side with an inlaid brass star above four brass dots, all within a gold-damascened arch, hilt with basal mount damascened en suite, and two-piece ivory grip of tapering circular section carved with male and female Persian figures in contemporary costume, in original textile-covered wooden scabbard (some wear); the second with curved watered steel blade double-edged at the point, characteristic russet steel hilt with knuckle-guard and decorated overall with gold-damascened flowering foliage (worn) (2)
