A Silver-Mounted Nepalese Kukri

With characteristic single-edged leaf-shaped blade cut with two narrow fullers along the back on each side, and ivory grip (old splits) of ovoidal section with flared pommel and carved with a medial band of meandering foliage, in original wood-lined black leather scabbard with silver locket and chape, the former embossed, pierced and chased with foliage on one side inhabited by a tiger attacking a male figure brandishing a sword, the latter with a crane amid foliage on each side, the back at the locket with black leather sheath secured by a leather strap and retaining two small by-knives en suite with the kukri and a brown leather pouch
