A German Black And White Comb Morion

Of iron, with two-piece skull rising to a high turned comb, and with a plume-holder at the rear, embossed on each side of the skull with a large fleur-de-lys in low-relief, downturned brim (split on one side) curving up to a point fore and aft, and with turned border, the base of the skull with lining rivets on embossed brass floret-shaped washers (seven missing), the surfaces bright against a reblackened ground
