The first of mahogany, fitted and partly relined for a pair of percussion pistols and accessories, the interior of the lid with maker's trade label (damaged) of Lang, no. 7 Haymarket of circa 1825-52, the exterior of the lid with circular vacant brass escutcheon (keyhole escutcheon missing); the second of oak and lined and fitted for a pair of percussion pistols and accessories (central compartment loose, lid escutcheon missing); the third of mahogany and fitted and lined in blue baize with compartments of varying sizes, the exterior of the lid with circular brass escutcheon engraved with owner's name 'W. Palfryman, Market Street, Birkenhead'; the last comprising a brass-mounted cutlery case (lining damaged), and two other wooden cases (one relined, the other lining missing) (6)
