Second Half Of The 16th Century
With cowhorn body of curved flattened triangular form, the front engraved and blackened with a staghunting scene in a landscape, the sides with stylised ropework, and the back with concentric circles centred on a flower-head and with a helmeted male profile bust at the top, iron basal mount and top, the latter with tapering nozzle with sprung tap and scrolled cut-off lever, and two rings for suspension (minor old damage)
