A North European Hand-And-A-Half Sword
First Half Of The 16th Century

In excavated condition, with long tapering double-edged blade of flattened diamond section, iron hilt comprising a figure-eight shaped guard made from a single slender bar of circular section with acorn-shaped tips, flat tapering tang, and fig-shaped pommel cut with spiral flutes forming border engraved lobes surmounted by a small button
