A Fine North European Swept-Hilt Rapier

With slender tapering blade of stiff diamond section and central flute along each side at the forte, long rectangular ricasso, iron hilt of slender faceted bars with recurved quillons each widening towards a turned button tip, vertically reeded quillon-block, arms linked on the inner and outer side to three concentric side-rings, each pinched-in at the centre and linked to each other by side-loops, the largest joined at the top by a curved bar to the knuckle-guard, the latter with hooked terminal, flattened faceted globular pommel with button, and spirally twist grip bound with twisted iron wire between Turk's heads (some light pitting overall)
