With earlier tapering double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section incised 'De Tomas' within the central fuller on one side of the forte, and 'De Aala' within the other, iron guard of fluted bars framing fluted panels pierced with stylised hearts and circles, the main panels centred on saltires, the side-panels each with 'ram's horn' terminal, conical pommel decorated with flutes between incised lines, and spirally-grooved fishskin-covered grip bound with copper wire (some wear and pitting overall)
