With earlier tapering double-edged blade incised with a running wolf mark on each side at the forte, the latter with central fuller on both sides incised 'Andrea Ferara' between serrated sickle marks, stars and dots, iron guard of slender bars framing fretted panels incised with line decoration and pierced with stylised hearts and circles, the main panels centred on saltires, the side-panels each with 'ram's horn' terminal, and joined at the top to a ring beneath the pommel, fluted conical pommel with prominent button, and wire-bound fishskin-covered grip
