With earlier tapering blade double-edged at the point and fullered over nearly its entire length on each side, iron guard of fluted bars and panels secured together by screws, the main panel with vertical and waved bars, the former each with cusped borders and pierced with keyhole slots between stars, fluted ovoidal side-panels en suite and each with heart-shaped terminal pierced with a star, fluted fore-guards, downbent wrist-guard, domed pommel-cap with prominent threaded button with knurled border, and wire-bound grip
