An English 'Mortuary' Hilted Backsword

Similar to the last, with tapering blade double-edged at the point and cut with three narrow fullers along the back for most of its length on each side, the fullers at the forte struck with a series of serrated sickle and small crescent moon marks, the guard pierced and chiselled with portrait busts representing Charles I between bearded grotesque masks, the base of the knuckle-guard chiselled with addorsed sea-monsters, globular pommel with button and chiselled with scrolling foliage, and grip bound with chain-link copper wire between Turk's heads (some rust patination)
