A Continental 'Transitional' Small-Sword

With slender sharply tapering blade of flattened hexagonal section stamped 'Elviecho' within the fuller on one side of the forte and 'Sachavn' within the other, iron hilt of spirally-twist bars comprising side-loop with central grotesque mask and enclosing a plate pierced with foliage, quillon-block with a satyr's mask on both sides, downbent rear quillon with monster-head terminal in the round, knuckle-guard and fig-shaped pommel en suite with the side-loop, and shaped grip bound with twisted iron wire between Turk's heads
